Micah Richards has done so much for Aston Villa.

His name is up there in the list of players that saw the club through its recent darkest days upon relegation from the top flight. The player skippered the club through its first relegation from the Premier League, after joining in 2015.

With the club now in the Championship, there are reports that he might move to Nottingham Forest. When Champions League winner Roberto di Matteo was tasked with the responsibility of helping the club back to the Premier League, he decided to freeze out the defender. The top rated defender joins from Tottenham Hotspur is what might make him the most expensive defender in the world. The England international agreed a five year deal with the Etihad to become the third new face following earlier additions of Bernardo Silva and Ederson.

The deal is reported to be £45 million with add-ons taking it to £50 million. Some other reports claim the deal would cross the £50 million benchmark, eclipsing the deal for David Luiz when he moved from Chelsea to PSG for £50 million net in 2014.
