Micah Richards questioned whether Aubameyang is performing his roleas the Gunners skipper well in his analysis of the Liverpool game as monitored by popular media outlet Metro. According to ex-Aston Villa and Manchester City player Micah Richards, Aubameyang put in a poor display against the outgoing Premier League champions and that he didn’t lead by example.

Aubameyang and Arsenal were on the receiving end of a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool. The Reds scored their goals in the final hour of the game to improve their chances of clinching one of the four spots available for Champions League football next season.

Portuguese national team player Diogo Jota came off the bench to score twice, while Mohamed Salah scored the second Liverpool goal. The comprehensive victory over the Gunners moved Liverpool to within two points of fourth-placed Chelsea as at the weekend but things have changed since then.

West Ham United leapfrogged Chelsea into fourth place on Monday night after they ended on the right side of their five-goal thriller with hosts Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Hammers almost lost a three-goal lead for the second successive game in the league.

West Ham were leading 3-0 at home to Arsenal in their penultimate league game before they were pegged back to 3-3 at the end of the match. The same situation happened in the Wolves game on Monday but the East Londoners were able to hold on at 3-2 to move one point above Chelsea on the league table. Liverpool now trail fourth place by three points ahead of the final eight games in the Premier League this term.
