According to reputed Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Manchester City are considering a move for Udinese left-back Destiny Udogie. Although the 19-year-old only joined the Serie A club permanently in July from Hellas Verona, Udinese could be looking to make a hefty profit with his sale, with Tottenham also interested. Destiny Udogie had a fantastic 2021/22 season at Udinese, which prompted the Serie A outfit to pay the €4 million to make the signing permanent. However, Udinese could be in for a hefty profit if the interest from Premier League clubs like Manchester City and Tottenham firms up.
The sale of Oleksandr Zinchenko to Arsenal was followed up with interest in Marc Cucurella. However, while Manchester City were extremely confident about securing the Brighton & Hove Albion defender, talks broke down between the clubs following disagreements over the valuations. Chelsea are now getting closer to signing Cururella after lodging an offer of more than £50 million for the Spaniard. The Brighton defender has already agreed on personal terms with the Blues and could complete the move in the coming days.
Manchester City are considered out of the race and looking at alternatives to the Spaniard. Anderlecht full-back Sergio Gomez is on their radar, while the Premier League champions are targeting more names.
